The Fellowship of the Believers
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Here’s something that you may or may not know…community isn’t easy. It requires sacrifice and flexibility. But joining with God’s mission means taking that challenge. So now is the time to make a team and develop a unified vision. Who knows, you might just stumble upon what the Church is supposed to look like.
Step #1: Gather your team. “Many hands make light work,” so grab your friends, classmates, or community members and join together to make your dream come to life.
**Be sure to seek the advice of an adult if you are unsure of any legal questions because there might be some along the way. Or, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step #2: Unite. Once you have gathered a team, come up with a name and a mission statement. Decide in the beginning what your team is going to be about so that if you come to some bumps in the road or if you are feeling like your project is getting too difficult, you can look back and remember why you’ve decided to help create a world unbroken.
Step #3: Tell others. Let us know about your team on Facebook! You can post it to our wall or tag us in your post. That way other groups can see what you are doing and you can help each other along the way. Now you are ready to Plan It.
